I would say my husband and I are both 4+. I say this because even the best of cooks always have room for improvement. My specialty is southern cooking, my husbands is Italian, even though he isn't Italian..but he sure is good at it.

I'm probably a 3. I don't try many new recipes and I usually use kits to make dinner. I stick with the oldies but goodies that my momma taught me. Like beef and potato tacos and chicken and dumplings. But nothing fabulous. My husband doesn't complain and I don't burn anything anymore like I did the first year of our marriage.

I don't think I am a bad cook, but I don't think I am excellent either. If I have to choose it would a 3. Also if you aren't that good at it make sure when you serve it, it looks great.
