They are supposed to represent Aphrodite (in Roman mythology, Venus) and her son Eros (in Roman mythology, Cupid), who were walking by the ocean one day when Typhon, a Titan, attacked them. there's two meaning that i know.I know its a fish beaus its a water sign and fish is a creature from the sea!!It's also a fish because like us a fish lives in a whole different place!!We like to day dream a lo and fishes live in a whole different place where it's relaxing and calm aka ocean.Plus if u wanna know why there's two fishes as our signs its ecus we have two personalities.We can be sad and mad at one minute and 5 minutes later we could be happy and excited!!We're just like that and they can't change it!!!Tht's all i know!!

i dont have a good answer to that question....they say its a water sign so i guess the fish live in the water so they use it to symbolized the water..
