whats the difference between a paralegal (legal assistant) and a legal Administrative assistant? I'm choosing my classes, and i really dont know which one is best, that may be because i dont know the difference!

According to the Federal Dictionary of occupational Titles published by the Dept of Labor, both job titles are defines exactly the same and as follows....

Researches law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to
assist LAWYER : Researches and
analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial
decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal
codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings,
appeals, wills, contracts, initial and amended articles of
incorporation, stock certificates and other securities, buy-sell
agreements, closing papers and binders, deeds, and trust
instruments for review, approval, and use by attorney. Appraises
and inventories real and personal property for estate planning.
Investigates facts and law of case to determine causes of action
and to prepare case accordingly. Files pleadings with court
clerk. Prepares affidavits of documents and maintains document

A legal administrative assistant is another name for a legal secretary. She will usually do standard secretarial work, plus know more about legal terminology, and maybe even be called on to do a little research. A paralegal can do just about anything a lawyer can do, under the lawyer's supervision, except represent the client in court.
