red dragon and manhunter are the prequels, both same story, manhunter made like 10-15 years before red drago, and the sequel is hannibal, all three suck

Sequel was Hannibal.
Prequel (which actually came out last) was Red Dragon.
Manhunter is actually a very good movie too, and it is Red Dragon, but they did not have the rights to the name. Came out in 1986 and stars William Petersen (Gil Grisom on CSI: Las Vegas).
