Depends on the type of product you buy from Covergirl. Some of their makeup seems crappy, but some of it is nice--especially the eye makeup.

Cover Girl is one of the lower end brands. You really can tell the difference as you go up in price. Max Factor and Mayblene are a step up and NYC and Wet and Wild are a step down.
Loreal and Revlon are a little more expensive but will give you better results. If money isn't an issue in my opinion the best brand is Chanel. Very expensive but it does last a long time.
Personally I like to shop at Sephora. Their own line of makeup is in the $10-$20 range
but they have a wide variety of brands there. Urban Decay makes great eye shadows and they are about $15 each.

NO!! do not use make up that you get at a drug store. They all have bad chemicals and oils in them that make your face look worse. If you want a good make up use Bare Essentials! It makes your face look natural, and beautiful. Bare Essentials has minerals that help your face and it is all weightless. They also all have SPF's in them which is great for the summer!

It is for the price. If you are needing something cheap this is your best option. If you are wanting to spend more money you can try MAC or Mary Kay.
