Construction and maintenance co. looking for ppl's opinion on colors for logo. What ones do you like?

For example...yellow w/ a blue shading, black, red, and blue? What catches your eye?

I think it would be neat to have black on orange or black on yellow, cuz thats what the city uses. Then work on design. The public will usually pay attention to those colors and relate them to construction anyway.

I've seen a logo used locally, its BLACK BOLD LETTERS set on a plain, but bright, YELLOW background. really stands out, and great for branding.
