yes, i have to say i find a lack of respect, not because they did not vote for me but, because they did not vote for anyone! you can tell some people have gone to alot of trouble to give a good answer, i myself have written a page and a 1/2 from my medical book. not to even get a thank you, oh well....some that ask are only young teens, but you will find that there are very nice people that will even e-mail you to thank you, that makes it worth it:) good luck and GOD BLESS.

As annoying as that is, it is also rewarding when you've given an answer and someone used the data bank to retrieve your answers, and e-mails you to say that it helped them. So, perfectly good advice and answers still are valued by someone who needs it, even if the original asker didn't bother to vote on the answers or get their points back. That is the beauty of the yahoo answer system.

I agree with you, but I think a lot of people ask the question and then dont get back into yahoo answers often enough to see that they need to vote, thus it gets sent out for others to vote on it.

possibly they're there to get the answer to a question, now to not play the game. i imagine YA has morphed from a area to allow human beings to get solutions to issues to an section for individuals to ask stupid and sarcastic questions. i imagine the excitement must be in with the flexibility to reply to someone's valid question, and get solutions to valid questions. those who hardship about factors would not hardship me, regardless of the indisputable fact that the individuals who deliberately ask the fairly absurd questions fairly annoys me.

Maybe they have points to waste. I agree though. I have gotten 10 points twice for best answer and it was very nice. I emailed back to thank them.
