My dad knows a lot about cars and he helped me fix my accord. Luckily I fixed it before the steering went stiff like yours, but did it start making like a humming sound before that? Mine did and they warned me that it would lock up like that if I didnt get it fixed, so I replace the power steering pump, you can buy it at a auto parts store, I got mine from my dads used auto parts, n it worked fine. n e ways replace that n it should be fine, empty your old powersteering fluid or buy a bottle and buy a new bottle of powersteering fluid (preferably with the kind with the cleaner mixed with it) and use that, it should be fine afterwards.

It all depends on what is leaking. Also I,m not sure what a day van is.But as a long time Chrysler mechanic this is usually an expensive repair. If it is just a hose then it is not too bad but replacing a rack and pinion unit(front wheel drive vehicle,s) can be an expensive repair at least 500$. I guess you will have to have it checked by a shop and verify what the leak is. Good luck and wish I had better news.

Depends on the location of the leak. If the seals in the pump have gone you are looking at $300+, but if it's just a hose then you might get it done for under $200.

Good luck.

if its a minor leak go too the auto store they have a sealant for that, if not check to see if the fittings are tight , if not that than take to a shop, it shouldn't be that much i had one done for under a hundred, good luck.

Depends on actual site of leak. Power steering rack&Pinion high pressure/or low pressure cost is relevantly fair,$100.00/ if you do it yourself. cost of with labor $687.00.

Yeah it's a pain in the butt to do it yourself. I'd have a mechanic do that one.
