In the next six months we are probably going to buy a new house around £280K. How much is it roughly is it going to cost us to move. We aren't selling our currant place, so aren't worried about selling costs, just buying and moving costs. I can think of stamp duty, moving vans, solicitors fees, have I missed anything? What have been peoples experiences with moving costs? Thanks.

Well I guesstimate it's around 10k just for those things you mentioned. So add whatever you choose to spend in new house, carpets, appliances,curtains, decorating, extra furniture, heating check. etc.......and you'll finish up with a nice big number. :-)
