There isn't an appropriate age per se.
When you are able to financially, emotionally, physically and mentally accept any and all possible consequences of having sex... even safe sex, then you are ready to have sex. If you aren't ready to live with or support a child or aborting it, getting Hepatitis or Aids or any other STD, then you aren't ready to have sex. Yes, this means there are 40 year olds who shouldn't be having sex.

1) About the same age as you're ready to provide and care for a child or
1.5) About the same age as you're capable and competent to make contraceptives work with no margin of error
2) and about the same age as when you've found a partner that's really fun to be with, even -- and here's the catch -- without the sex.

By these standards, I know people who are married with children who are too young to be having sex.

the appropriate age to have sex is whatever the legal adult age is in your state. And you may not want to hear this, but, you should be married when you do.

It happens naturally.Independent of anything.Naturally you don't think or have to it.It comes inside you as tender feeling and as and when the nature provides you ,you do mate. Sometimes they call it First love, true love,, etc..The rest after it , goes by the experience of the pleasure you did have in this first instance..
