Why are most celebrities such airheads?

From what I've overheard from my parent's conversations about work, about 2/3 of the airhead population works at their jobs :P.

Maybe some of them aren't airheads. They just play one on TV. :)

Here's the thing. We only see what the media gives us about celebrities, and so we never really see every aspect of a person. They may play airheads on TV or act like one to be funny, but they might not necessarily be that dumb.

Almost everything in Hollywood depends on three things...

1: If you're a woman, being super-skinny with big boobs. If you're a man, being really buff.

2: Acting incredibly stupid to get attention, then chasing after the paparrazi, even though the publicity is what you wanted.

3: One word: Hot.

i think the ratio of airheads in hollywood is probably about the same as anywhere else. i've seen plenty of celebrities on talkshows that are witty and intelligent.
