My wife and I like to keep things bare in a "certain area". The problem I have is those damned unsexy pimples after I've shaved.
And if that's not enough of a problem, they scar after they're gone. How do I avoid the pimples, and is there a remedy for the scarring?

exfoliate. Don't think I am a perv or something, but go to tootimid.com. They have a product called coochy cream for shaving the private areas. It is the BEST ever. I shave everything with it. It's not that expensive and a big bottle with last a very very long time.

yah...that is a problem. Scrub your "area" with this stuff, ST. Ives medicated scrub. It has salicylic acid which is good against ingrown hairs and pimples, and it has a grainy texture that sloughs off and loosens up ingrown hairs. If that doesn't work on its own, go out and get a facial toner (both these you will find in the acne care aisle) that has glycolic acid and use a cotton pad to cleanse that region after shaving (it will burn like hell but it is killing the bacteria that are causing those pimples) and once every couple days. If that doesn't do anything, talk to yr doctor next time about folliculitis, which is having bacteria way down in the hair follicle.

A day after shaving, use a loofa or soap spong thingy down there. You need to lightly exfoliate the area since the skin is growing over the hair follicles. It helps.
