Hip-hop is for a younger generation. Young people do not vote. (Remember vote or die) hip-hop is fine but it will not help to get a person elected. I don't think that there is a place for it RIGHT NOW! The day may come that there may be a place for it.

Alright Texas1970 you jackass, don't forget that blacks aren't the only people in hip-hop jerk-off!! And we don't all live in the ****** ghetto!! As for hip-hop in politics... the music is out but the artists-the people that are in the spotlight and have a face we can recognize and listen to- they are in. It would be influential to certain topics if artists were to promote or rebuff them, because think about the people who listen to these artists and respect them.

When the hip-hop artist were on every air way trying to encourage their audience to register to vote or actually vote they were very unsuccessful.So as far as political persuasion they have none.

hip hop is the laughing stock of politics. hiphop is an industry in which everyone just mimics that last guy. zero originality. as soon as one of these black idiots start talking politics their ignorance of the world outside the ghetto is amazing. Anyone who says they have respect for these so called artists for their artistic ability is a clown, they are just envious of all the material.
