Commerical products typically use sea salts and plant based oils with herbal scents mixed in. I'm searching for a way to replicate such formulas with natural ingrediants to make a home made exfoliant. Thanks for any guidance....

Usually you find olive oil, sea salt and what ever herbs you like the smell of. Lavender is good for relaxation, orange zest/peel for energy, rose petals for romance.
If you have a health food store near you, you can sniff their essential oils and add those to the mix as well. Just be careful, a little goes a long way! and some are not safe for use directly on the skin.

Ohhhhhhhh yeah! I made a lovely one. Go to www.recipezaar.com and type in scrub in search and you'll find a few of them...and plenty of recipes for delicious goodies as well!
