I've always been told you ovulate on day 14 and you can only get pregnant on days 14, 15, and 16. That's it. But my breasts are always sore on day 21 - 23 (a sign of ovulation?). My period has always started on day 28. When did I get pregnant? My last period started on June 3rd.

no what you are experiencing is PMS not ovulation

you ovulate 14 days before your next period starts, and your ovom is only available for fertilization for 24-48 hours

if your cycle is 28 days you were due to start your next period on july 1... so you may be pregnant of you have miscalculated your cycle length

Total BS. You need to get a book (or several for that matter) on human reproduction. A woman can ovulate at ANY time of the month.

Just because your breasts are sore does NOT mean you're ovulating...it could be your body's way of telling you your period's coming (I get crampy 4 days before my period starts EVERY month).

If you're having unprotected sex and you do NOT want to be pregnant, you're being totally STUPID. Use some sort of BC - there's a huge selection out there today!
If you DO want to be pregnant, do not rely on the mid-month "rule" because every woman is different (I ovulate 2x every month on average, so there!).

Typically it's 14 days before your menstration, so either 12 or 14 days after the start of your period if you are on a 26-28 day cycle. However not every woman follows this. Look into the FAM method to learn your body's signs.

You can get pregnant on any day of your cycle, including during your period, although it is more likely mid-cycle. Some women ovulate more than once. I do. Ask our doctor!

You can get pregnant any time, even while on your period. Those days are just the most fertile times of your cycle, making it most likely that you could get pregnant on those days.

That's a total load of crap. You can indeed get pregnant on day 21. I suggest you speak to a gynecologist.

I'm one of those 'lucky' ones that sometimes ovulate twice in a month. Be careful.
