Does anyone know how pay roll works...?
My company gets our payroll checks from another company....does that company take $$$ out of the companies account before issuing the checks? If so, I am not getting paid tomorrow. I am about to go CRAZY!!!

I know I am suppose to get paid tomorrow, but I was told there was not enough $$ in the account to cover pay roll. Unless the company does not take out the $$ first.

It depends on the payroll company. Ours deducts the money before the check date. Some take it from the accounts days ahead of time.

Ususally the money is taken out of the company account a day or two before the employees are paid. Payment for these services are usually paid monthly by the company as well but not out of your paycheck.

payroll companies may charge the company you work for to use their services, but it does not come out of your personal check if that's what you mean. ask your boss when your payday is. they are required to tell you and pay you on that date by law.

my check also come from a payroll Co. you should still get your $$$ no prob....but if your Co. bank acct. is short it will overdraw it and they will have to pay the fees plus a fine to the payroll Co.
if it happens often then the payroll Co. may not issue the checks...
