if you have it in you to do it, yes. i wish i was that kind of person but i can't. it would just be too painful for me.

If you are having a good break up, i don't see anything wrong with being friends with an ex. But when you are in another relationship, your new mate might not like it. But who cares, there is nothing wrong with staying friends. You shared something special with that person for 6 years, just because your not intimate anymore doesn't mean you still can't be friends.

girl, that's never going to work. if you have been in a 6year relationship with someone, you were very serious. friends is completely out of the question. i mean, what happens when he gets a new girlfriend? are you saying that you can handle that? or that when you guys are just hanging out you wont start having feelings for him? or he gets lonely and want to be friends with benefits and then he will make you want him again? you really need to think about what your asking. i think that its a really bad idea. but in the end, you are your own person and you do what you want to do. good luck.

I wouldn't be friends. I'd say it's better to go your separate ways and discover who you are with out him. What ever you decide, to be friends or not, just make sure he knows.
