I think Celine is awsome, she has a great attitude and has a better voice, but I'm curious what other people think?

Celine Dion is a better singer then Cher I believe, I think she has a fantastic voice

I agree with you. Celine Dion is a better singer. I like them both, but I have all of Celine Dions cd's and none of Cher. She was more of a 70's 80's era.

Celine Dion can't sing worth a lick. I would much rather hear a pack of dogs howling at the moon.
So I would say Cher is the better singer of the two (I have always loved Cher's singing).

That's a tough one....but I'd say Cher for the following reason:
Celine Dion has an amazing voice and sings some quality tunes (The Power of Love, It's All Coming Back to Me Now, etc.), but she just doesn't have the longevity that Cher has. Cher started out with hits like "Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves, Dark Lady, Bang Bang, The Beat Goes On & I Got You Babe (with Sonny Bono), back in the 70's and still managed to pump out hits in the 80's/90's.
So for a person to manage her career and reinvent her music to fit the times, I'd say Cher was the winner.

As far as artistry is concerned, Cher has been an accomplished singer and actress compared to Celine. But if we judge by singing alone, Celine tops the chart.
