If officials of the US government could not lie for 1 week, what would the result be?

for only one week? American civilization would end. I favor honesty, but if you cast a spell that ended the lies...everything is built on... it would blow up in our faces.

If people knew in general how evil our representatives are or how
evil the bush admin is, they would all be lynched immediately.
That would lead to social anarchy.

The television networks would have to shut down, because the government would never allow them to broadcast the truth to the masses. Newspapers would stop printing for a week, and the country would shut down. Then when the week was over the government would blame it all on some extremist group and continue to lie through their teeth as if nothing happened.

Let's face it people. Even if they couldn't lie, they are still in absolute control over every media outlet on the continent. If they don't want people to know they can't lie, then people wouldn't know. They would have somone non governmental to do all the lying for them. They would all just go on a vacation.

There would be complete chaos. The "A*s Kissers" will have to reveal their true feelings and beliefs while others would divulge their ignorance and stupidity. In addition to telling the truth for one week, I would like to see all politicians write their own speeches. Can you imagine how stupid most of them would look?
