It's common, but it's rarely used where I live, these days. I knew a Jennifer 10th grade. Then there's Jennifer Garner. But I don't think you should let your first name being a common one bother you, Jenny. Having a last name that's common, that's depressing at times, and it's my prob. But a common first name, isn't worth getting upset over.

No but it was a very popular name for a while, there were three in my daughter's home room at one time. But names change. Heather was very popular for a while, now it seems that Jessica is coming on strong. Beats Myrtle which was my grandmother's name.
