I'm still loyal to the original. Love everything about it. It was the best! Plus, I think it's cheating to just use ONE actor to play ALL the Oompa Loompas.

It was entertaining but Mr Depp - who, ordinarily I love, simply didn't cut it as Wonka -he didn't come across as eccentric - he was plain freaky! Gene Wilder is the only Wonka for me! However, my kids adore the movie so obviously, the updated version is a hit for the younger generation.

I didn't think that one was better than the first. It is really hard to beat a classic and Gene Wilder was fantastic in that one.

outside of the oompa loompa parts, the whole movie was rather dull and horrible

it was great Johnyn depp wasnt hot in it because his face was to pale but it was great!
