Anyone who has been part of a large university has experienced some interesting things during class. I've heard some great stories from friends. Do you have a story?

Here is one of my stories. Some guy walked on stage during a sociology lecture in just a coat and flashed the class and ran. He repeated the act in several other classes before caught.

My first semester freshman year. There was a huge budget crunch and the university dropped 111 classes from its offerings. Many students were concerned that they could not get the classes they needed to graduate. Later on the same day that this was announced I had a health class in the basement of the library building. About 15 minutes into class (unknown to us) there was an explosion and fire in one of the utility tunnels. The entire campus lost power. Here we were sitting in the basement in total darkness and not a sound was to be heard until somewhere from the dark depths of the room we heard, "I guess this makes it 112 classes canceled." That broke the tension and we helped each other find a way out of the basement into the light.

This was years ago.

I was in a math class (when we still had slide rules), when the teacher had one of those six-foot models on the wall.

One of the students (a real troublemaker) wanted a clarification on how to do a certain function that would require the center portion to be slid way over.

The teacher obliged and as the portion slid over, underneath was the graffiti, "Vince Waskell sucks"

Vince (the teacher), said nothing, slid it back over and went on as if nothing happened.

No one could keep a straight face after that.

In Art History class we were studying the Sistine Chapel and the professor (who was brilliant) stated that in Adam Michealangelo had created his version of the ideal man. Someone raised their hand and asked "Is that's his version of the ideal man, why did he paint him with such a little dick?" Well, my jaw dropped, but the professor was GREAT. She explained that over the years various regimes had declared that certain things were obscene, some even had diapers painted on depictions of naked men, so that what we saw today may not have been what Michealangelo had originally painted. Then she concluded by saying "But I doubt he would have stressed it. He had too much taste."

I loved her!

Not funny: Someone had a heart attack on a test day and I did CPR on him for 30 minutes until the firemen arrived.
