Teams Platini played for were generally built around him including while at Juventus, while Zidane only get that privilege in the recent 2006 world cup finals. Imagine if he had enjoyed this privilege earlier on!

By far, Platini. Fate allowed Zidane to appear in three Finals. Platnin's France were screwed by Schumacher and the ref in '82. In '84 Platini was on fire--goals galore. I went to that SF vs. Portugal--best match ever. I would also say Platini's club record is probably better.
