My favorite is Mutiny on the Bounty, the 1934 version with Charles Laughton and Clark Gable.
A close second would be The Sea Hawk in 1940 with Errol Flynn

' Captain Blood ' - Errol Flynn, Basil Rathbone I believe.
Their fencing styles were fascinating. Not foil, really but more like sabre. But what flash and dash!
Real buccaneers tended to use very short cutlasses, though.
The funny part is I remember stumbling on the fact neither of these guys actually knew how to fence!
They learned it then and there.
Very accomplished artists if so.

Duh!!! Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest. Although I haven't seen it yet, I've been obsessing about it ever since I heard they've come up with the sequel. Even then, I'm reasonanly confident, without even having seen the movie, that dead man's chest will be the most awesome movie of all time.
Go Captain Jack!!!
