Here's a very serious question/statement for you: Do you own the house?
If the answer's no, then do what I did with a roommate that simply would NOT move out...YOU move out. Sure, I LOVED my apartment, but I HATED my roomie, and since he wouldn't leave and I had no desire to go to jail, I moved. It was the best thing I EVER did! He suddenly understood I was serious about everything I ever said to him, and suddenly he had to be self-sufficient (he was a mooch, among other things).
BTW, stop with the promises of money. When he's homeless and hungry, he'll have no one to blame but himself for being such a loser jerk-off. He's a grown man...he needs to learn to fend for himself somewhere along the way!!!!
Sure, marriage is a lot harder because you've got the divorce to handle too, but maybe it'll be easier to deal with your soon-to-be ex if you've got some space.
Good luck.

Do you live in the Houston, TX area? I can run him over for you if you live near by. Then you can spend the money on a funeral instead of give that deadbeat any cash. You and I can celebrate the loss of a 'good' man with margaritas on the eve of the funeral.
Sounds good right...we can all dream.
Move all his cr@p out of the house and on to the front lawn or parking lot. Change the locks and call the cops. Tell them he is stealing from you, he is isn't he?...stealing your vitality, your youth, living off you, using your hard earned money, stealing your life one day at a time....

Your first instinct to not give him money yet is right on. That would be like giving a bum cash cause he's "hungry" and him wasting the money on liquor. If you have asked him to leave and he refuses you can have him removed from your home simply by calling the police. Especially if you fear for your life or if he is threatening you. You might want to consult a lawyer for all the particulars, though. Good luck.

Well did you guys made pre-nuptials agreements? remember if you guys didn't means the house is from both of you. If you want him to move out you have to buy his part. Remember he have the same right to stay in the house if you guys didn't make the pre-nuptials.
If you guys are not legally married and you're living together less than 10 years, and that is your house. Give him a warning that if he doesn't move in certain time, then you're going to call the cops so they kick him out.
I hope this works

You should go somewhere to stay for a while and get everything(like the lights, water, and etc.) suspended for a while until he leave if he's a loser hes not going to try to get any of the utilities turned back on. Maybe he will just leave.

sell the house and get another one without him. Mine didn't pack up until he had the check in his hand.
He may need the money for first/last month's rent and security.
You could find a place for him and move his stuff into there, change the locks on your house, etc.

You can not just put him out the laws wont allow it. If he is on the mortgage or lease you can't do it at all. If he is not, you have to give him 30-days notice and then you can put him out. Being that he is your hubby and you want a life without him...uh, you need to file for divorce.
