now

The reason, of course, is that it is always now. It is never yesterday. It is never tomorrow. It is always, and has forever been, right now.

The future and the past exist in the mind. They are the memory of yesterday and a vision of the way things are likely to be based on how things are today, and how they have been in the past.

But in terms of now - the ever-present now - it is always happening. And it is the only thing that matters.

It is always now. It is a flicker of a moment. But in a continuous sense. At the moment my fingers touch the keyboard, it is now. Immediately after it becomes a then. So we are in the process of now-then, now-then, now-then... the then gets longer and longer and it becomes history.
