very simply put.... because nobody really gives a damn about if a guy is being abused. My wife damn near killed me and nothing happened to her other than we are now divorced. I have not found any shelters for abused men, support groups ect. And if you look at the way men are portayed in commercials, movies, and life, we are barely as sentient as grass anyway, so who really cares?

Because men feel shame in reporting spousal abuse. They shouldn't, but they do. Ego is only part of the equation. There are other factors that play a part and each individual is different. Remember too that batterers make batterees feel worthless and knock their self-esteem so low that they don't feel they deserve help and will rarely ask for it. Don't misunderstand me, abused women experience these feelings too, but for a man to be abused by a woman is almost unheard of. That is something that needs to change. Men need to speak up about abuse and get it stopped in it's tracks. Abuse is NEVER right, regardless of who is doing the abusing.

males dont report abuse because they fear others will think they aint real men if they tell but they need to tell cause every 1 needs to feel safe
