i feel that she should give the guy the option to terminate his parental rights ,that way he doesnt have to pay. if not, He should have to pay because he chose to lay down with her and since there is no legal contract allowing people to have or not have kids when in a relationship, he should've kept it in his pants if he didnt want the responsiblity!

If you were being truly responsible and having only protected sex this wouldn't have come up. There is a saying about being prepared to "if you play you pay". Yes if you parent a child you have the responsible to pay child support there is a name for men or women who don't they are called deadbeats. It may not seem fair to men that they don't have the final say in the matter of a pregnancy but do you really believe that you have the right to hold a woman's body hostage by withholding support if she makes the decision to have the child and to have an invasive procedure that has it's own dangers? If we spent more time, as a society, making sure our children are well raised and loved than worrying about the all mighty dollar then maybe the next generation would be less likely to be in this situation. Please be careful what you say there are few things more painful that a child knowing that their father didn't want them.

Child support only needs to be paid if the father had had a hand in raising the child, has adopted the child or is legal guardian(ie on birth certificate) Any contract signed would be overrulled by law and therefore null and void. If he has not been put on the birth certificate then there is nothing you can really do. I think the fact that so many paternity cases out there prove false for the father that the courts could never eally determine if a guy is the dad just because the mom says so.

First of all that is not fair to the unborn child that you say you are just going to get an abortion or do adoption it is not the child's fault. Second no matter what kind of document you have a judge will just say that you both were wrong because you both wanted to have unprotected sex and the girl got pregnant. The father will have to pay child support no matter if he is in the child's life or not. No it's not fair that he has to pay but also he did have sex with no condom.

why would you do that in the first place? why not use birth control instead of relying on abortion and adoption as your birth control. how about getting fixed so you cant have children bc it sounds like you dont want them anyways. if you have the heart to put a child up for adoption or kill it before its born then your not the type of person that should ever have children...and whether a contract was signed or not you both need to support this baby. how can you not love your own child?

This sort of agreement is fundamentally flawed.
Two people who have ANY type of sex are in fact agreeing to the possibility of a child. A future abortion can NOT be agreed to legally.
As for an adoption, if the couple adopts together, both parents are responsible for the child.

Was it a legal contract made up by a lawyer or was there any witnesses to the contract being signed? If you answer no to either of those sorry buddy but if this is you, then you are going to be paying child support.

Anytime you have sex you hold the potential to conceive a child - contraception or not.....contract or not. People who are engaging in intercourse have to accept the responsibility for their actions.
Besides the most important person in this situation did not sign the contract - THE CHILD! No one has the right to sign away his/her rights to be cared for by BOTH parents in the future without the child having appropriate legal representation.
If neither party ever wanted to risk being responsible for a child (physcially/ emotionally/ financially) then I suggest that in the future the practice abstinence.

Hi. Fair, no Legal, yes! If you are in the US, a woman cannot legally give up her right to receive child support. Her right to receive child support only ends with the father's rights being terminated. The law is written this way so that women cannot be intimdated by their exes into signing away their right to receive child support.

Of course it's unfair for everyone involved - Especially the child.
Theoretically, (and in most cases practically), child support is NOT a reward to the mother. It's viewed as in the best interests of the child for it to be fed and have a roof over it's head.
Since it's not the child's fault that's now in the world, you'll be liable for 18 years of payment until it can support itself.
If this isn't something you agree with, then don't engage in sexual activities that can result in pregnancy.

If it is part of the contract that the father will not have to support the child in any way, then he should not have to. Otherwise it is a legally implied responsibility unless it is explicitly stated otherwise in such a contract. You might also want to get that contract notarized for extra protection.
