I can understand why you are upset about it. Why don't you try talking to her and working out a compromise? Moms usually have reasons for doing stuff. Maybe she thinks you are cranky if you go to bed later, or wants some time alone before she goes to bed. If you talk to her about it maturely and rationally, and don't yell no matter what (even if she says you still have to go to bed at 9:00, just say calmly that you respect her decision. You will age 10 years in her eyes and she is MUCH more likely to change your bedtime later once she thinks it over), she may change it. If she says no, say you respect her decision and nicely ask when a good age would be for you to go to bed later. Just talk it out. Don't whine or throw a fit. Something I learned when I was your age was "Act like an adult, and eventually, people will treat you like one." Maybe not right away, but sooner than if you throw a temper tantrum every time you don't get your way.
Good luck! I wouldn't want a 9:00 bedtime either.

i think you should go to bed at 10:00 but if you don't want to you don't have to but if you are 13 i really think you should. because i go to bed at 11:00 and i am 11just saying but if your family has a time limit you should go to bed at your regular time.

It is summer for me also, and I'm 13. I'm taking some tutoring right now, to get ahead for next year, plus I'm finishing a text book. Plus I have 3 extra evening things I do. Plus social stuf...blah blah blah.
To get to the point, your mom is doing it for your own good. I go to bed at 1 or 2 on average because I'm busy, and sometimes I can't sleep late. In my opinion, ask your mom if you can plan sleep hours according to the next day. If you have nothing to do until noon, stay up as late as 3. If you have something at 9, go to bed at 10. It just depends. Ask your mom if she will let you be responsible for your sleep hours.

If your tired at 9 than you should go to bed at nine. I am in my twenties and I go to bed at 10 most nights. It makes it easier for me to get up in the morning. There are nights that I am up much later though. If you feel that you want to stay up later you should talk to your parents about it. I am sure that they will see that you are getting older and deserve to stay up later if you feel you can and still do whatever you need to do the next day. Just remember, if you get use to a later schedule it will only be harder to get up earlier once school starts up again.

I think at 13 you should be able to stay up till 10:30 or 11 but your mom knows best, she is probably just trying to keep your sleep pattern in check so you will be good to go when school starts
