My baby always has a sweaty head when nursing or sleeping. Most babies I've been around are the same, sounds normal to me. If he had a fever then he most likely wouldn't be sweating so I wouldn't worry. If it doesn't seem right to you call his doctor.

Take his temperature with a thermometer. If it is high, contact your doctor. This is not the place for pediatric advice. Also, could there be an allergy going on or sunburn? Think about what he has been exposed to so you have some answers when you contact the doc.
And, I wish you and he well.

I live in a small, rural area so this might not be possible for you. But when I'm questioning what to do I just call my clinic and they put me through to a nurse and she gives me advice on what to do. There's no charge unless you take your baby in, but at least then you know it's what you should do.

If the rest of his tempurature is normal, just take clothes off. As stated here before, put him in a tub, and cool him off a little, you can also just run water over his feet/hands to help cool him off. (blood vessels are closer to the skin near hands and feet and if you are hot, run cold water over them ...if you are cold, run warm water over them, will circulate around your body reasonably quick. Helps with adults as well..)Another thing you can do, it take a cool wash cloth and plop it on his head, make it a game, and have fun with it.

Take a cool was cloth and place it on top of his head and monitor him for heat exaustion. Our heads are the main thing to keep warm in the winter, and keep cool in the summer to prevent sickness or ailments.

do you have air on? or what is the temp where you live? maybe he is to hot. my 6 month old is very sensitive to the heat and breaks out in a heat rash every time he gets to hot even though his body temp is normal.
