Zidane would have save himself and billions of ppl a lot of grief if he had been sub by his coach when he injured his shoulder. The stress, the pain, the insults were too much for him that he blew up and thus ruin the exit of his soccer career.

Oh my goodness people, Mattarazi KNEW that Zidane would head-butt him after calling his mom a whore. That was part of their twisted game plan! Anyone in Zidane's shoes would have reacted that way. That's right, it was a REACTION, provoked by Mattarazi.

No, i don't think he should have got a red card..but then again i don't really think he cared..if Materazzi said something raciest i think anyone would have done the same..he knew that without Zidane France would lose..

Without a doubt he needed to red carded and I was glad to see that he was. Regardless of what was said to him. Not only is he a professional by many kids look up to him. What a lousy example to set to them on a stage that many of them were watching.

YES HIS REACTION TO MATERAZZI'S COMMENTS WAS A REAL SHOCK.HE DESERVED A RED CARD BUT TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I FELT SORRY FOR HIM CAUSE I FIND HIM COOL AND A VERY GOOD FOOTBALL PLAYER.HE WAS ALWAYS A HERO SO I DON'T THINK THAT HE SHOULD ONLY BE REMEMBERED FOR THIS.

Definately!!! He ruined his own reputation even though it wasn't that great to begin with. Good player but always causes trouble

Yes...although the taunting was close to home, he flagrantly fouled another player and he got what he deserved.
