Why parents and educators dismiss the feelings of young boys and males-telling them to suck how they really feel in? Why do we not allow them to fully and truly express how they feel-allowing them to embrace their feelings and find a proper and suitable way to express their feelings? And the feelings I am referring to can be anything from hurt, pain, sadness, rejection, to anger, or joy.

I can't believe no one answered this question...

Certain behavior is not traditionally associated with males because of the biological and sociological expectations of being masculine.

Masculinity is the measure of performance in a gender role associated with male humans. Traits often associated with masculinity have their roots in the genetic predispositions of male humans which are supported, contributed to, celebrated and often exaggerated by cultural and social constructs.

Here are seven areas of traditional masculinity in Western culture:
1) Physical--virile, athletic, strong, brave. Unconcerned about appearance and aging;
2) Functional--breadwinner, provider;
3) Sexual--sexually aggressive, experienced. Single status acceptable;
4) Emotional--unemotional, stoic;
5) Intellectual--logical, intellectual, rational, objective, practical,
6) Interpersonal--leader, dominating; disciplinarian; independent, individualistic (applies to western societies);
7) Other Personal Characteristics--success-oriented, ambitious; proud, egotistical (applies to some societies); , moral, trustworthy; decisive, competitive, uninhibited, adventurous.

I'm not condoning it just explaining why it happens.
