Yes you are pregnant since you had a positive pregnancy test. Once you get a positive, no matter how faint that line is, it means that there are pregnancy hormones in your body and the urine stick was able to detect it. Schedule your first prenatal appointment with your OBGYN/Midwife, they will do another test to confirm your pregnancy. Then you will know for sure and without doubt that you are indeed pregnant.
Goodluck and Congratulations!

Well, if the test came back positive then Congrats!! A home test will not give a false positive. I know how you feel, I found out I was pregnant with my youngest when my oldest was 6 months old. Talk about a shock! It can happen, even if you were on birth control (I was). I would suggest calling your doctor. They can talk to you and set up your appointments and such.
P.S. Don't listen to people who make rude comments! They aren't in your situation. They don't know what it feels like to have this happen. Trust me, you will get through it. It will be hard at times, but if I can do it, you can to!! If you need to talk, contact me. I'd be more then happy to talk to you. Keep your chin up!!!

I think you should trust the test. Check with your doctor. If you think it's too soon, you're wrong. My niece had a baby in July, had to wait a month to get her tubes tied, and by the time she got around to it, she was pregnant again. And if you're not sure because you're body is acting differently, each pregnancy can be different. My niece was fine throughout her first two, and didn't even have morning sickness, but she was sick as a dog during the last 2.

well, sometimes the tests are wrong. you said that you have been pregnant before, so do you feel like you did when your were pregnant with your little girl? just go to the doctors. if you are, 5 weeks is plenty of time for the doctors test to be 100% right. so just wait and see OK.

Number 1, you're having your children a little too close together.I went to a doctor once for that cause my wife and I want about three kids, but we weren't sure how close to gether their ages should be. It should be at least 1 1/2 years after the first is born before you should even try to get pregnant again.

Why are you asking us? Go to the Dr.!!! If you took a test an dit was positive then you most likely are pregnant. Tests have become more accurate lately. Still, how would we know...go to the Doctor and get a urine test...DUH

how about, take a test, see what the results of that are and then if need be, go to the doctor. if you have been through this once before, you should know the steps to take.

I hope you have some other people in your life with whom to share this news and I hope they can offer you the support that you will need as you raise one child and prepare for another.
I don't believe this forum is really the right place for something this personal and signficant in your life.
All the best to you.
