Mine are medium-dark green, with a dark blue circle around the green, and little specks of golden brown.

Just wondering if that is strange.... Because that is how I describe my eye colour. While I hear most people say just one colour, like their eyes are a solid colour, or mostly one, so you can hardly tell another colour is there....

PS: I hardly look people in the eye, so I do not know......

my eyes are mostly green, with a dark grey circle around the outside of the green bit, then amber coloured flecks around the pupil. Your eyes sound very pretty

People are constantly staring into my eyes. It's unavoidable. I have golds and yellows surrounding my pupils. Then I have various shades of blue and green, with specks of orange every now and then. Then all of that is outlined by a dark green. I don't know if they change colors or if the sun light accentuates different parts. I never know how to classify my eye color. I always thought they were hazel, but someone told me hazel was a light brown. Who knows!

No, some people say one solid color just to simplify it. Mine are golden near the pupil, then green with little specks of blue and then the outer ring is gray. i hardly look people in the eye either.

There's a theory called Iridiology
I believe it has something to do with the amount of melanin in your eye. Mine are really dark brown almost black (dark chocolate colour) and that's what I was always told.
I suppose it must have something to do with your parents' eye colours too. Again, both dark in my case.
Oh and there's that alternative therapy theory that you can tell a person's health by what the different sectors of their iris look like. Each representing a different part of the body like in reflexology or whatever.

I am colour blind, but I have been told that one of my eyes is green and brown the other is mostly green with a blue/grey.

My colour blindness is because I have damaged retina, but I don't know if that has any effect on my eye colour.

I'm a freak!

Wrong the eyes are the mirror to your soul, and when and if you need it you optometrist he or she can tell certain things about your general health from just from looking into your eyes, although they are no obliged to offer information, ask how are the kidneys doing and you have made a friend for life. Oh my eyes are grey with gold flecks, damn shame about the rest of the body, sigh.
