It's perfect, it's written in the bible that Israel should be resurrected so that the Messiah comes back, that's priceless you know. Besides, Israel is the only purist democracy in the Middle East and acts as Americas hand when a dirty job is to be done, so to speak. Moreover, even if the US dwindles its support to the Jewish State many dedicated Zionists both Christians and Jews will donate whatever they have to aid Gods promise to the children of Israel. Don't forget about the Kosher certification tax, many things you pay for end up on the other side of the world to save the poor Israelis in the quest to put out the evil fanatics.

Annually the US sends almost as much to Egypt.
The difference is that Israel has produced on behalf of the US:
- every major computer chip since the 386
- many of the latest and greated medical advances
- most of the US's hi tech weaponry and radar systems
etc etc.
The computer you are using was designed in Israel, and the chip in it was actually made there. The cellphone on your waist was designed there too.
FYI, that 90 billion USD in foreign aid? It has to be spent IN the USA. That's why Israel has never had a decent garment industry.

I don't think anyone should be happy about spending that amount of tax money on any foreign nation. There are always the religous kooks in this country though that believe that we have to support "God's people", that is probably a large part of the reason why we have such a tremendous amount o taxpayer revenue going to that country. Alas the religous kooks are the ones that cause trouble for human beings here to Afghanistan

It's been better spent than the trillions of dollars we've wasted in the War on Poverty these past 40 years.
Heck, that's less money than what Mario Cuomo couldn't account for in his budget when he was housing secretary in the Clinton administration.

No. I think we should not do that. We should simply crush any nation that attacks a country under our protection, and leave them to pick up the pieces. We don't owe handouts. We have gotten WAAY too socialist.
End the socialism. I agree.

That's not too much money compared to what we pay in taxes right now. It may be alot of money, but research it. How much does the government get in taxes?

We are not happy sending our hard earned $ anywhere. We give, they take then blame us for currupting others with our money. At least Isreal doesn't slap us in the face when we give the gift.

any money sent to Israel is money well spent. We should stop all aid to Palestine. It was never a legitimate land claim.
