If I had to make a top 3 for each position in Fantasy Football right now, it would have to be this

RB (The franchise of any Fantasy league):

1) Shaun Alexander, Seattle - The durability of his schedule makes the reigning MVP the favorite to be the #1 pick among drafts, but the loss of Pro-Bowl Guard Steve Hutchinson makes him questionable to repeat last year's performance.

2) Larry Johnson, Kansas City - He finally got playing time last season after years of serving as Priest Holmes backup and it shows. With Holmes health and career in jepoardy, Johnson is the undisputed starting RB in KC and most likely repeat his performance, if the offensive line doens't show their age (the average age for the offensive line is in their 30's)

3) LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego - Still one of the best all-around RB in football, but how new QB Phillip Rivers performance in his first full season will determine how LT plays this season

QB:

1) Peyton Manning, Indianapolis - The undisputed top QB in the league, but might have to throw more if rookie RB Jospeh Addai or veteran Dominic Rhodes doesn't do well (which is not a problem for Manning anyway, with Harrision and Wayne to throw to).

2) Carson Palmer, Cincinatti - I'm not going to label Palmer "injury-prone" yet because this is his first injury in the NFL, so I'm not worry about Palmer's health. When healthy, Palmer is one of the most efficient QB and with load of weapons to pass (Chad Johnson, T.J. Houshmandzadeh) as well as RB Rudi Johnson and Chris Perry, he could easily surpass Manning as one of the best.

3) Tom Brady, New England - The former Super Bowl MVP finally show that he can pass for big yardage, leading the league in yards pass. Of course, the running game that New England relied on for years dissapeared at times, meaning that Brady had to pass more than usual. With rookie RB Laurence Maroney on board and the loss of WR David Givens means that Brady is not likely going to pass more again, but still post solid stats.

WR:

1) Steve Smith, Carolina - Benefiting from Mushin Muhammaed absence, Smith took the job as the #1 option in the offense and ran away with it, literally. Although his height is discourging (5'10), his speed and the ability to break the cover makes him the best reciever in the league. Don't be surprise if he repeats that performance, with the addition of WR Keyshawn Johnson on board and QB Jake Delhomme being more efficient on offense.

2) Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona - This one is kind of a questionable call because Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin post similar stats, so we don't know who's the true #1 receiver in this team is. Of course, the running game completly dissapeared, meaning that QB Kurt Warner had to pass more on the offense, which means that Fitzgerald and Boldin had their share of yardage. With the arrival of Pro-Bowl running back Edgerrin James, one of those receivers is not going to break the 1,000 yard again. However, if I had to choose the true #1 receiver, it would have to be Fitzgerald, because he young, athletic, and entering the magic third year in the league, where most recievers usually breaks out at this time.

3) Chad Johnson, Cincinatti - When he isn't talking trash or finding a new way to do a TD dance, Johnson is arguably one of the best recievers in the league. However, he needs a healthy Palmer in order to repeat his performance.

TE:

1) Antonio Gates, San Diego - Surpass Gonzalez as the best TE in the league. Like Tomlinson, the performance of Rivers is going to determine how Gates does this season, but don't be surprise if the stats go down a notch.

2) Jeremy Shockey, New York - If he can behave on the field and off the field, he could be the best TE around. But is the attitude problem I'm worry about.

3) Tony Gonzalez, Kansas City - Has age finally caught up for the former #1 TE? Don't blame him for the poor stats mostly because he was assign to do more blocking than receiving last season, en route to 2 TD. Don't expect the same dismal performance again with an improve offenisive line.

Kicker:

1) Neil Rackers, Arizona - Came out of nowhere to be one of the most efficient kickers around and with Edgerrin James around, expect more PAT than FG opportunites.

2) Adam Viniteri, New England - Lack of FG opportunity haunted the most efficient kicker in NFL history to post his worst stats around. Don't expect the same lackstuer stats at this time around.

3) Mike Vanderjagt, Dallas - The transition from Indianapolis to Dallas might be a little rough, but expect Vanderjagt to get his share of opportunites as he had in Indy.

DEF:

1) Chicago
2) New York Giants
3) Carolina
