Because she's the Queen. That's not something one retires from. And I think she could hang on for at least another 15 to 20 years; by then, maybe Charles will have died and the much worthier William can become King.

Because she has no reason to most of them died while on the throne. Anyway the Royal Family generate more money in tourism for the British economy then is spent on the Royal Family before people start moaning that she is a waste of money.
Much rather have her than a president any day. Could you imagine would Blair would be like if he was our actual head of state?
And Charles isn't that bad I'm not a fan of him but appreciate his charity work especially the Prince's Trust who have done some amazing things helping young people.

Because she an old bint who's loving taking the money of her servants and feeding her ugly dogs fine steak instead of Pal like the rest of us! Anyway even if she did eventually stand down, we'd have big ears telling us how boring he is!!! YAWN

It isn't the kind of job you just retire from. It is a whole of life thing like an insurance policy.
And anyway, look at who her successor would be - Prince Charles.

because she is vary much aware of her German ancestory and delights in creaming the english for millions of pounds and have the very same hoi polloi regale her in the streets. The irony is lost on her minions.... poor fools.
