The truth I am speaking of is the truth of the crime not the bible truth.

Physical evidence provides the strongest pointers to the truth. Humans lie, embellish and distort habitually according to their own agendas, carelessness, faulty memories. So, physical evidence is more reliable than testimony.

Because everyone has a different "truth". Even if two people see the same thing, they will interpret, and remember the incident differently. Scientifically, they is no truth, only evidence that points to a certain tendency.

How else do you best arrive at the truth of what occured, but by evidence? Court cases normally take place because people have differing ideas of what the truth is ... was it murder, was it rape? Sufficient evidence must be presented that proves one side or the other.
