You need to graduate or get your GED to get accepted into a nursing school or college. Depending on the degree you wish to achieve, you need some pretty good grades. A CNA or something similar may be more easily obtainable but you won't receive comparable pay and might not be happy with your duties. Also, as a CNA you will be limited to working in nursing homes or extended care facilities, for the most part.

Becoming a Registered Nurse or even a Licensed Practical Nurse is a difficult pursuit. You need to learn Pharmacology, Anatomy and Physiology, and many other skills and subjects. It is an honorable and needed occupation and rewarding in many ways. It is also physically demanding and emotionally exhausting at many times.

I suggest you contact your local junior college or university to find out what pre-requisites you will need to get into the program of your choice. Your high school guidance counselor should be able to help you too.

Good luck.

You need High School for just about everything. Nurses go though a lot of schooling. A whole lot, at least the Real Nurses do. Go back to school.

No, you can have a GED sweetie. However, it is more of an accomplishment if you finish school and graduate with a high school diploma. Hope that helps!

YOU need a high school diploma to learn how to spell, compose a sentence, and generally to communicate. Right now, you're lacking in all three.
