Ok, first the black squirrels. Then the hispanic dust mites. Now the new black v. white poster.
Personally, with the first two, I think they were just trying to reach younger/hipper demographics. And with the last one, there is also a version of the poster where the black one is dominating the white one. No one is saying anything about that.
What do you guys think?

Actually, the NAACP did get on their *** about it, and Sony pulled the ad (Thurs).

i had thought about it a little. more than anything the squirrel ad is just stupid. they tried to go for the attention of urban youths and it failed. the squirrels were obviously supposed to be black but is that such a bad thing? there are people out there who really talk like that. when representing blacks you can't always make them look clean cut and give them sophisticated voices. there are slang speaking, idiotic black people out there. the same goes for whites, hispanics, and asians. every race has someone of that sort. i know for us whites it would definitely be the white trash country accented people. i wouldn't worry about it. i hope sony gets the NAACP on them and has to stop running all of those commercials. not because they are racist, but because it is a pathetic attempt to make their product look "young, fresh, and hip". i hope that answers your question.
