I agree with you!!! Homeland Security issues are always on the news. I think the media needs to back off so that the government can do its job without the terrorists finding out about it first!!!

Contrary to what the Bush administration may want you to think, the American people have a right to know about their government and the difficiencies of their security department. Trust me, the terrorists know a lot more about the weaknesses than CNN does. As far as whistle blowing and leaking secret information, it's the media's duty to report it to the American people, especially if rights are being trampled upon. Remember, the man that is willing to give up a little freedom for security deserves neither.

I think that you should be thankful that the actions and behavior of our government gets so much media attention. What was it that Thomas Jefferson said?
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, ... it expects what never was and never will be."
The ONLY thing that keeps our government a SERVANT TO THE PEOPLE as it was DESIGNED to be, is the knowledge that it cannot get away with whatever it wants to. Oh, it certainly will try, because people who have power want only one thing: more power. This is a fact. And the only way to check that power is to make sure they know they can't get away with anything they want.
Whether or not news reports will ever help even one terrorist is beside the point: our safety is NOT worth giving up every last vestige of our freedom.
"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." - Benjamin Franklin
Open your eyes and your mind and think about your government critically before handing them every last ounce of your freedom.
A fundamental mistrust of government is healthy in a democracy. Nationalism is the first step towards dictatorship and fascism. (Not patriotism - nationalism).

It is not just you. I've felt that way for a long time. The media encourages terrorists to attack and encourages private citizens to dislike us. Some things don't need to be revealed, and some things could reflect a positive rather than constantly negative.
The news media is so hateful of president Bush that they can't wait to expose anything that might make him look worse regardless of the security of our citizens.
It's sad that it's come to this.

I think that governments and terrorists are working together so it doesn't matter whats on TV. Just a ploy to keep the public in their pockets and keep collecting high salaries for doing next to nothing.

Dude, I totally saw a list of top secret access codes and passwords last night on CNN. After they put that up they showed the trajectories of all US spy satellites. And then they played secret tapes of Joint Staff meetings!
I'm soooo scared and pissed off you don't even know!
