I'm refering to this medical insurance Bush has come up with that seems to harm every one except the affluent, while helping no one?
Everyday i hear some problem that was not a problem before Bush shoved his program down American throats, now I hear he wants people to pay a hundred a month toward his crap program. So the poorest are getting the shaft again. Didn't everyone who worked already pay for this program through taxes? What is this guy doing, and why are we just saying duh ok? Time to speak up America.

I am 58, so I don't believe I will grow out of the Bush administration and the harm it has caused.

i agree. it is time to speak up. unfortunately, we live in a country with those who have the most power agree with him. no it's not the majority, but they hold the majority of the power in the country through stocks and other ways.

If you try and create a National Insurance system only for the poor you will get a v. poor service/system. If you try and make a system fit for kings paid for by universal taxation it will cost a quarter of every ones salary.
In the UK the NHS is supposed to be excellent for everyone evenly but it's usually not going to be quite as good as the rich get paying full price on the open market, however, it's a lot better than many insurance companies would run to. Also when private insurance runs out it is always there to provide anything required. Potential health care spending is infinite so compromise is inevitable and prioritising care is a prerequisite.
With Republicans in power it is inevitable who is going to get the **** end of the stick in America.

While you're not exactly clear on what you are asking, I will attempt to answer your question sufficiently.
1) Bush didn't come up with this type of medical insurance.
2) It's not medical insurance, it's health insurance.
3) Most policies were developed through years of experience and research by health insurance companies.
4) They don't "shaft" poor people, in fact, they actually tend to shaft people who need expensive repetitive medical procedures, those who are more prone to sickness or require many medications.
5) Health Savings Accounts or HSA's are tax free savings accounts for individuals, these are coupled with High deductible catastrophic health insurance plans to reduce the negative effects of over consumption of health insurance on the health insurance market.
Deductible- the amount of money you must pay up front before health insurance starts paying money towards your expenses. I.e. if you have a bill of 5,000 and a deductible of 2,500, you pay the 2,500 and the insurance company pays the rest.
This forces people to act as traditional consumers such that they price shop for the best medical care that is affordable. Typically in the Health Insurance market, consumers were told where to go, or fully reimbursed for their medical expenses, this lead to over consumption and excessive spending without regard to price. In turn, and over the long run, this has driven the cost of health care up.
6)People pay taxes towards medicare and medicaid. Medicare is health insurance for the elderly, and medicaid is health insurance for the poor. In order to qualify for either of these programs you must meet certain criteria such as age or maximum income level. Typically those who will have HSA's with High Ded. Health Ins. will have more money and better jobs, and thus they will not qualify for either of the social insurance programs (Medicare and Medicaid are social insurance programs)
7)Medicare and Medicaid are expected to go bankrupt within the next 25 years because of insufficient funding, the baby boomer retirement and lack of proper allocation.
8) People who use this type of insurance typically elect to do so of their own free will. The President merely encouraged people to subscribe to these programs, there was no shoving.
9) I am not sure where you derived the $100 figure, but that's not accurate at all.
10) The last time I checked Bush's approval rating was hovering in the 30's, and most people adamantly speak out against him. Few are just saying "duh, OK."

what is going on via George Bush, Jr is darn disgusting.
he went to war in Iraq based on lies and planned it for two years prior to. he went to war in Afghanistan because they would not let him run an oil pipeline thru their country...
now he spends $5,600,000,000 a month to maintain that war in Iraq! yes, five billion, six hundred million dollars every month. he spent $54 billion in 2005. so he has to raise that war chest money some how = cut and tax the hard working American people, any way he can do it. now he has his sights on war with Iran...
anyone who votes for ANY Republican in 2006, is a certifiable moron! and if his brother Jeb decides to run, do the country a favour and stop the Bush family elitist regime for continuing...because the tax cuts will only get worse.
if $54 billion dollars was SPENT each year on americans, at home, this place would be an utopia. instead of people living in cars, or on the streets, or commiting suicide, or the mess of Katrina is still a mess, or not enough shelters for battered women and children, or cut education programmes. none of that would exist if the USA spent that much money at home to do good.
