Manipulate - start with 3 cards each, person next to dealer starts, you can lay down 3 cards - draw until you get 3 to lay down - can laydown, 3 of a kind (e.g. 3 Aces), or 3 of a suit in sequence (e.g. A,K, Q of hearts). Next player can then add to an existing pile, or create a new one, must draw until he can play. Next play can borrow from an existing pile that contains 4 cards, make a new pile or add to an existing pile. When you take from a 4 or more card pile that is in sequence, you must leave a sequence in tact (e.g. if you have A,K,Q, J of hearts, you can take the A or the J, but not the K or Q). Hand ends when a player plays last card. You then add up points in your hand at face value, Aces count 20. Game ends either at a given point total - like first to reach 100, or after a set amount of rounds. As the game progressess it gets more interesting as people manipulate the piles to play their cards.

Kings Corners is a new game I'm addicted to. Its for 2+ players usually best with 4 but still fun with 2. Each player gets 7 cards that they can look at. You place 4 cards down face up with the rest of the cards in the middle to draw from. With how the cards are placed there are 4 corners and that is where you put down the kings hence Kings Corners. Its like solitaire red, black, red, black from king to ace. The first person to get rid of all the cards they have wins. Some people hold onto cards like all the jacks or something so that the game can not go on until they play their hand and go out all at once.

Not really for 2 players but you can play snake eyes need at least 4 people I think the more the better. You need 1 deck of cards and 2 dice for 4 or 5 players and 2 decks for more people. You take out all the kings, queens, and 7's from the deck. Place a cup or something to hold usually quarters or whatever stakes you want to bet. Pass out all the cards and everyone places there cards face up in front of them. Roll to go first, then that person rolls dice if that person has that card they place it a discard pile, and roll again if you dont have it the 1st person to the left of you that does have card places it in the discard pile.Anyone who rolls a 7 you has to put a quarter in the jar in center of table. Jacks=11 and Aces=12 rest should be obvious. 1st person to get rid of all their cards takes all the money in the jar.

For 2 people, I'd recommend cribbage. It is a great game. You can find instructions, here -> http://www.woodtechgifts.com/CribbagePages/crib_instr.htm
You can also find it online at MSN games. Try it and see what you think.
