I have a 6 month old son, with a great man...that I love very much. We recently just moved back to my home town and I found out that my high school love s getting married in a couple months. All of these old feelings are coming back. We loved each other very much and were close to getting married until I went a little crazy. I can't stop thinking about him, and I feel horrible that I lay next to the man I thought I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, and think about someoneI used to love. I'm so confused...and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions.

It may be or may not be a matter of selfishness....but u have a child with a man whom u consider great and whom u argue to love. Besides, your former is getting married so maybe he's passed over some feelings. U must ask yourself if these feelings that u say you are still having for your ex are real or it's just a stirr up of the memories. Ghosts of the past may always haunt us b ut never forget that present (and future) is what counts. GL!

I think that you just have to resolve yourself to facing facts....your high school sweetheart is getting married anyway....what are you going to do? Break their relationship up? You can't do that....you would feel horrible....plus you don't even know that he feels the same way about you. You admit that you still love your husband so just concentrate on that.....this is reality....ending up with your high school sweetheart isn't....it's not even a choice....so banish it from your mind, go to counseling if you must...but don't spend your time fantasizing about something that can never be. Seek help to get over this.....you don't want to break up your own precious family over something that is impossible. I understand that you can still feel love for this man and that's fine, you have wonderful memories but memories is all it can ever be....concentrate on what's in front of you and what's most important to you...your child and your husband!
Talk to someone if counseling isn't a choice.....a good friend or even family member OR get a journal and write your feelings down (that's what I do) that way everything isn't so pent up....and always remember...the grass ISN'T always greener on the other side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know exactly how you feel. my best friend and i went through the same thing. you have to be strong. you can't do anything about it. you will ALWAYS love him and NOTHING will change that. having a baby and getting married will never change how you love someone. you will have to be strong and keep your feelings to yourself or a close friend that doesn't have a problem with you talking about your feelings. i can only talk to my room mate about my ex that just got married at the end of may 2006. to this day i work with him also and we still have feelings for each other.

it's normmal not to forget your first love. If he was your first 'big thing' don't worry. I would see him, laugh about good old times, wish him the best in his marrige, and unless somthing magical happens, that usually only happens in movies, ( like the notebook) Go bakc to the father of your son, and contiue with your realationship.

Stay with ur husband!!! He's getting married, nd u R married, with a baby!!! think of wat it would do 2 your husband!!! DO NOT leave him if u luv him!!! who knows, ur high school sweetheart might've changed ALOT since then!!!!!!!!!!!!
