I think Ronaldo should stay and see out his contract he cost Utd an arm and leg and he's not done much to repay this price tag. It's obvious that Rooney will give him a smack in the chops when they get back into training and maybe that's what he needs. He's a very immature kid at the end of the day and if he's going to grow up and learn some decency Alex F and the Utd team are the ones to do it!

ITS NOT IF FERGUSON SHOULD LET HIM GO THATS THE MAIN POINT HERE, THE PROBLEM LIES WITH THE PLAYERS AND ESPECIALLY ROONEY. EVEN THOUGH HE HAS SAID HE HAS NO ILL FEELING, YOU CAN JUST TELL THAT HE IS UTTERLY DISGUSTED WITH WHAT RONALDO DID DURING THE SENDING OFF. AND WILL THIS AFFECT SPIRITS IN THE CAMP?
IF DROGBA OR XABI ALONSO HAD DONE THE SAME THING TO JOHN TERRY OR STEVEN GERRARD I THINK THE RESPECTIVE CLUBS FANS WOULD FIND IT HARD TO ACCEPT THE GUILTY PLAYERS BACK IN THEIR HEARTS.
AS A LIVERPOOL FAN I THINK RONALDO IS A GOOD PLAYER BUT HE IS A CHEATING BASTARD (EXCUSE THE PORTUGUESE)
HOWEVER I WOULD MISS THE BARRAGE OF ABUSE HE WILL RECIEVE AT ANFIELD AND ANY OTHER PREMIERSHIP GROUND FOR THAT MATTER, SO LET THE HIM STAY FERGIE AND LETS SEE HOW MAN CHRISTIANO REALLY IS!!!!!
CARLOS Q HAS SAID TODAY THAT RONALDO IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE NO DOUBT!! SO I THINK THERES YOUR ANSWER

Let him go, he does not want to play in England anymore because of his girlfriend in Portugal, a good player that Sir Alex does not want to lose but what can do, it's the way the cookie crumbles.

No watching Ronaldo at grounds like Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea will be the highlight of next years Premiership. ManU should not deprive us of the entertainment.
PS and if Ronaldo has the bottle to stick it out he could yet become a darling of English football (fat chance I know but stranger things have heppened)

No. Ronaldo is a professional footballer who is contracted with Man Utd till 2010. Any abuse he gets whilst playing is his own fault really and instead of trying to run away he should just get on with it and take it. The saying...if you can't do the time, don't do the crime comes to mind. I don't condone any abuse that goes beyond verbal...or even racist abuse...but Ronaldo must have known he'd become even more unpopular than he already was....

I don't think the problem lies so much with the Rooney incident. What's worse is that he said he wanted to leave Man Utd before it.But in truth I think he should stay. They could have a weekly game.See who kicks the cheating little ***** the highest.

NO he shouldn't, because he won't get anything for near his actual value, more like 20 million pounds.
He should keep him till the end of his contract 2010, and if his attitude doesn't change, then he'll learn to rot in the reserves.

No Sit him on the bench where he can best hear the abuse from both sets of fans for 90 minutes. Maybe he'll realise the games for players not cheating tossers.

if all english fans are gonna act like those hooligans who had answered this question before me, i reckon fergie should let him go. but if fans arent that barbaric in england, i'd love soooo much to see ronaldo continue playing for MU and shutting those critiques up. then again, why would ronaldo bother proving himself to those unworthy english barbarians rite? *sigh* all in all, i hope he stays becuz he's great and he'd make man utd great, together with the help of rooney and the rest of the fabulous manutd squad!! i wanna see them kick chelsea's arses this season!!
