What kind of fungus grows in flower beds covered in wood mulch? My cousin has this problem every year. It grows up to 12 inches in diameter, is tannish yellow and little pools of crimson liquid puddles on top of it. We would appreciate any input on this delimma. Thank You. Molly & Mark

It's called Dog Barf Fungus. It likes mulch. If you stir it into the mulch it will go away until it rains again. If you want to remove it permanently, you need to scoop it out with a hand spade and put it in the trash.
