Not all frogs are green ....you get red ones, orange, yellow.Frogs have the capacity to change colour both as tadpoles and as adults. In most species, both the tadpoles and the frogs can turn darker and paler, depending on things like the surrounding temperature and whether they are frightened or not.
Frogs also have a different colour pattern when they are tadpoles and when they are frogs. Most tadpoles are a fairly uniform and drab colour, but frogs often have distinct patterns and have some bright colours somewhere on the body.

It's a naturally evolved camofluage strategy, yeppers. Toads, on the other hand, tend to do the chamelion effect, to a degree, and will shade to the underlying ground colour quite quickly.
As said above though, differant frogs do come in an amazing array of colours and patterns. Perhaps most striking are various of the Dendrobates and Mantella species.
Dendrobatids are the legendary 'Poison Arrow Frogs' and come in a blaze of vivid colours. That's to warn of their inherrant toxicity. " Aha! You can see me alright, but just try eating me and ye'll wish ye hadn't! ".
The most astonishing looking frog, in my opinion at least, is - I believe I remember correctly? - the Auroze Dendrobate? Something like that. Vivid blue with black spots! I'm not kidding! Check out Google for " Dendrobate ".

Even if a frog is green one moment, it might be a different color the next moment. They don't just change by magic. They change when the sun hits them at different angles making the pigment in their skin change to a different color.

They're not all green. Some species are red, yellow, orange, even blue. It depends on their environment, probably, and whether they want to blend in or stand out from their background.
