it was at one of my wife's client's homes, she didn't know what it was either, but I took the picture because I want one, it's very unique. I don't know if it flowers or anything like that

BEGONIA crassus insularis. Island Begonia,

native of the former french pacific islands. Blooms round pink clusters of fluffy looking balls. Treat as any tropical.

It is hard to tell. My first thought was Nasturtium, but it doesn't have a stem like that. Dollarweed is also a good guess, but that is not it either, again the stem. I thought it might be a type of begonia.

Have you seen it flower? Try to get a picture of the flower too, that would help!

If you do get it to flower, take it to a local university or nursery or to the Division of Plant Industry. They can probably ID it for you!

I think it's some kind of Begonia too.

Try Logee's Nursery below. Maybe they can help better.

Good luck.

The leaves look like a lotus but the stem is wrong. It almost looks like dollar weed with a big stem. There is an oriental tree that has leaves like that too.

I thought begonia too. plant isn't looked after very well - needs feeding - lack of lower leaves indicative of improper treatment
