I hate it when a movie's title is in the movie, in the dialogue especially. There are exceptions to this rule of course. When the movie title is a character in the movie, like rudy, or the goonies falls into that. OR if the title of the movie is an object in the movie, like the sandlot. Movies like Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Braveheart, or Star Wars could have used the title in the movie easily, but they didnt. One of the worst examples that i always think of is The Whole Nine Yards when Bruce Willis's wife is talking about why he wants to kill her, for the house, the millions of dollars...The whole nine yards, it kills me. Anyways, anyone agree with me?
It also factors in with CD's sharing the same title as the first single off the album. that sucks too

titanic is fine, because it is an object in the movie. If they named it something like "ill never let go, jack" it would be crap

i think thats actually a rule of movie making and story telling though! when i was in school and used to have to write stupid little essays i was always got in so much trouble for not wrirtin in the title of the essay into the actual essay. basically i was told that there is no point in giving your story a title that cant fit into the story itself...even if the title is completly relevant to the story!

I agree. Pirates of the Caribbean, for example, was a great title. Superman Returns...not so much. Of course, what else would they name Titanic?? The Boat That Sank?

I don't know I kinda like it, like in Kingdom of Heaven when Liam Neeson says: A Kingdom of conscience, a Kingdom of Heaven. I think it connects the movie to where it began.

I don't like it in songs either. It just seems cheezy, like a pun that they counldn't help themselves from making. Not very classy. You should allude to the title, but not say it. The best ones are those that are interpretable.

I feel the same way as u.

Specially when the title of the movie is complicated and they explain in in the movie, its so silly.

certain! that's unlawful! and then people get annoyed and say stuff like "i'll't be afflicted" or "i have not were given any money". in the experience that they extremely needed to work out the movie, they'd locate the money.
