Ken.. before you paint them, consider getting out some plastic polish. You can buy it at an auto-parts store or auto section of your favorite store... apply and remove with an orbital. That way you dont worry about cracking and pealing of paint. Go to Home Depot first... thats where I bought stock (lol)

Before replacing them with the Gutter Guard kind, I had white plastic gutters, that became gray and patchy looking. Before buying a pressure washer, which was WELL worth the money, I used to put bleach in a spray bottle and spray it all over the gutters, rub lightly with a car wash brush, then rinse off with the water hose. You have to remember that you are using bleach...which will bleach...anything it touches, like indoor outdoor carpet, your shirt, etc.
I have used Krylon spray paint for plastic, in so many ways, I could probably do a commercial for them. Spray light coats on. If you do it too thick, it WILL chip when you sit on the chairs. The trick is to do light coats...as many as you need.
There's also a product called "Awesome". You can get it at The Dollar Tree...a good sized spray bottle for a buck. This stuff cleans everything, but, beware...it will take paint off.
Good luck!

Plastic. I would not paint that. Go find yourself some new chairs. I think estate sales are a good place to look. Good luck and have fun.

absolutely...but you have to make sure the paint you are using is designed specifically for plastic. I am sure you can get it at a building supply store, but I know for a fact that Wal-Mart carries paints for this purpose....I can't remember the name brand, but it even has a picture of plastic garden furniture on it.

No nead for paint it will just flake off! If you happen to have a power washer with 500psi or more you can just spray them off. the pressure will get all the bacteria and mold out of all those little cracks and they will look good as new. If you don't have one just load up the chairs and take them to they do-it-yourself car wash and spray them off with their powerwasher. Then dry and enjoy a beverage in your new looking chairs.

You can paint them, but I would recommend cleaning them with bleach. If you don't like to use bleach, then I would try Tilex. I have had amazing results from using this product. It has bleach in it and it has a foamy texture that would stick to them better so that they could have a good "soak" in it.
If you paint, they will eventually peel, and you will just have to paint again and again.
